Toby went in for an angiogram this morning to determine if he needed bypass surgery.
We just heard back from the Doctor. Toby had 90% blockage in a smaller artery (already stinted last April) coming off the main LAD artery. Since it was a minor artery, the surgeon inserted a cutting balloon into the artery to open up (if it had been a major artery they would have done a bypass of the artery). All the other arteries to the heart looked good. And their initial reports are that the cutting balloon opened up the blocked artery. Doctors were very (pleasantly) surprised by this as we are.
So we are very releaved and thankful for God's hand in all this!
They'll keep Toby overnight and then release him in the morning.
